Food Fridays: Sweet Tooth

Going, going, gone........

went my gummy bear bunnies four days post Easter

it had nothing to do with our trip to the dentist yesterday for Zen that was caused by a 4 month old filling turned abces and in my opinion totally the dentist's fault,  thought this even before 3 of this staff tried covering up that they used nitrous on my son even though his chart is marked NO NITROUS and even after the blow up I did when they used it on Stream, seriously they went as far as to take it off the bill saying it was a computer generated error, only to later have Zen asking questions about what the pink thing over his nose was that made it hard for him to breath and go to find out they used it 4 months ago on him and hid it from me then too!

can you say a new dentist is in order!

now onto some nifty little fellows I ordered to help me around the kitchen......

meet Geno, Floura, Scrubba,  Simon the Sift and Li'l Tee on sale at currently HERE.

Looks a bit like our family portrait!

I know it say for kids on the packaging but aren't we all kids at heart,
especially when it comes to eating a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies on a rainy day.

and one of my cupcake recipes to wash down all those gummies:

Orange Spice Cupcakes
  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons grated orange peel
  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

  • Makes 12 cupcakes

  • Orange FROSTING:
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons grated orange peel
  • 2 to 4 teaspoons orange juice

  • In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Beat in applesauce, juice and orange peel. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.

  • Fill paper-lined muffin cups half full. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • For frosting, in a small bowl, cream butter and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. Add orange peel and enough orange juice to achieve spreading consistency. Frost cupcakes. Yield: 1 dozen.

      3. Rather, start to love organic products, veggies, nuts and nourishments in their common healthy shape. It is essential to 'take into account your craving and not spoil your hunger.' I am asking you to take after this and not call it an 'eating routine'.toastmaster bread machine
